Technology Enables Selwyn Snowfields to Provide Superior Guest Service

As one of RTP’s first customers in Australia, the partnership will represent the first complete roll out of RTP|ONE in Australia, ensuring that Selwyn Snowfields has the most integrated resort technology currently available. The solution will allow Selwyn Snowfields to integrate every aspect of the resort’s operations, including ticketing and pass sales, group sales, retail, rental, snow sports school and food & beverage operations into one central system, enabling them to provide superior service to their guests.
Selwyn Snowfields is located in Kosciuszko National Park, New South Wales Australia, and caters to families, first time skiers and tour groups. Unlike many other leisure activities, a day on the slopes involves much more than buying a ticket. Nearly 50% of Selwyn Snowfield’s guests book lessons and rent equipment, so having one system that not only sells tickets and passes, but efficiently automates the rental and snow sports school reservations process is critical. RTP|ONE will allow Selwyn Snowfields to service their guests in one transaction by enabling guests to buy their tickets, rent equipment and reserve lessons, and will effectively eliminate the guest’s need to stand in multiple lines. Staff will have up-to-the-minute information about equipment and lesson availability, and can provide their guests with more personalized service. Snow Sports School Instructors will be pre-assigned lessons, and ski hire equipment can be set aside to fulfill specific guest requests. Families and tour groups can also take advantage of Selwyn’s advanced reservations, allowing guests to pre-arrange their vacations from a hassle free environment and providing a seamless experience when they arrive at the resort.
In addition to providing superior, multiple line-of-business functionality to Selwyn Snowfields’ resort operations, the RTP|ONE back-office integration between the different business units will improve operating efficiencies and reduce the overhead costs associated with managing multiple systems. Selwyn Snowfields will be better positioned to respond to changes in their business and changes in technology.
