Gateway Arch Riverfront Selects RTP
for Park Management Solution

From Riverboat Cruises to Tram Rides,
RTP|ONE™ Software Solution Integrates Attraction’s Operations

May 25, 2005 - Avon, Colo. – Resort Technology Partners (RTP), a leading provider of integrated point-of-sale software and eCommerce solutions for the resorts and attractions industries, announced today that Gateway Arch Riverfront has chosen RTP’s software solution, RTP|ONE™ to manage their park's operations, including ticketing and pass sales, group sales, online ticket sales, activity scheduling and customer information. The solution enables Gateway Arch Riverfront to integrate every aspect of their park's operations into one central system, and allows them to provide superior service to their guests.

As one of America’s most popular attractions, the Gateway Arch Riverfront is visited by millions of visitors annually. Home to the arch built in honor of western pioneers of American History, the Gateway Arch Riverfront offers visitors numerous activities, including Journey to the Top, Museum of Westward Expansion, the second largest museum in the National Park system, a Blues Cruise along the famous Mississippi River, RiverSplash, and movies and documentaries about the history of the Arch.

"When guests arrive for the day, we want them to have a memorable experience with family and friends, and not have to worry about standing in ticket lines," said Ted Zimmerman, Director of Operations, Gateway Arch. "RTP enables us to provide our guests with an enhanced guest experience through our use of RTP’s integrated technology."

The initial roll-out of the RTP|ONE product suite includes point-of-sale solutions for ticketing, activity scheduling, and online ticket sales. Visitors to the park can buy tickets and schedule activities in one transaction, eliminating the need for separate transactions for each purchase. Online guests can buy tickets that can be fulfilled on site. All transactions and customer information is captured in RTP’s centralized database, regardless of where or how the products were purchased, providing Gateway Arch Riverfront with real-time information about every aspect of their business, including ticket sales, activity availability, revenue information and customer information.

"RTP continues to expand into new markets, including parks and attractions," said Tom Fisher, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for RTP.  "The Gateway Arch and Riverfront is one of the most popular historic attractions in North America, and we are thrilled to be part of the experience they offer their guests. "

Prior to selecting RTP, the Gateway Arch Riverfront used multiple, disparate systems to manage ticket sales, group sales, point-of-sale and itinerary scheduling. But maintaining and adding additional functionally was time consuming and costly, given the amount of duplicity required to manage numerous systems. With RTP, they can integrate all their multiple functions into one central system, and now spend less time on supporting their systems and more time focusing on improving the attraction’s operations.

Zimmerman sums up their decision to choose RTP, "We had been with the same vendor for 15 years, and we reviewed numerous systems before choosing RTP. While changing vendors can be challenging, we know that selecting RTP as our business solution was the best decision. The technology, scalability and affordability of the solution, as well as RTP’s commitment to keeping up with the latest trends in the industry and technology, made RTP the obvious choice."
