Technical Services – Account Manager
SUMMARY
RTP|Technical Services is an Information Technology support group providing out sourced support for Eagle County and Summit County based businesses. We are our customer’s IT department.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Responsible for the I.T. support of major client accounts. The ability to design and implement data network infrastructures with integrated topologies and provide continued support. Hands on network experience with primary emphasis in Microsoft environments, including installation and maintenance. Experience in WAN, VPN and IP Security. Must be organized and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. The ability to take ownership of a client and to maintain their environment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Knowledge and overall understanding of client’s IT Infrastructure and goals.

Knowledge of industry trends as they relate to the client systems.

Skill set to include: Microsoft Office Suite 2000-2003, Active Directory, Exchange 2003, Server 2003, Router/wireless knowledge and the intuitive ability to source solutions.

Short term and long term planning on behalf of clients (1-3 year, 3-5 year).

Involve Sales / Manager in meetings and planning when required.

Annual capital budget prep and review (annual review and update of minimum hardware standards) if required for client.

Hardware upgrade strategy, recommendations and budgeting.

Coordination and prioritization client needs in conjunction with Manager.

Facilitation of communication (ensuring all appropriate parties notified of events).

Fiscal responsibly for client IT needs.

Communication with and assessment of tech vendors when required Planning, coordination , and execution of IT projects as defined by client.

Licensing compliance (ensuring appropriate level).

Facilitation of office moves, additional employees, removals, etc.

Coordination of all infrastructure hardware/software installations.

Software maintenance (including AV, malware, OS patches/updates. etc).

Hardware maintenance (including installing components/warranty replacements).

Change management – ensure systems transitions are planned and executed with focus on minimal impact on users.

Back up systems maintained and logs reviewed regularly.

Maintain RTP and client interests and synergies.

Per-client Disaster Recovery Plan:
-
Serial numbers, Activation Codes, Media, of all Software licensing information.

Test restore of data (quarterly).

DRP review required with Sales and Manager – reviewed Quarterly.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
-
Skill set to include: Microsoft Office Suite 2000-2003, ISP knowledge, Router/wireless knowledge and the intuitive ability to source solutions
4+ years experience in Computer/Network related field.

Proficiency in Various Network platforms and topologies concentrating in Microsoft

Good working knowledge of DOS, Windows and MS Office.Good working knowledge of PC structure.

Good working knowledge of E-mail systems.

Must have good interpersonal skills/communication skills.

Basic knowledge of general office procedure.

Thorough and timely responses to everyday tasks and projects.

Ability to work with and assist others with various PC/Network problems.
DESIRABLE SKILLS / CHARACTERISTICS

Outstanding organizational skills.

This position requires ample patience, as you are dealing with customers who are having immediate software difficulties.

This position demands professionalism as Support Specialist will be representing RTP to our customer at all times.

Ability to identify and delegate tasks effectively, and to work in a team environment.

A high standard of written and verbal communication is imperative.

The Ability to source solutions and implement.

Ability to take complete ownership of a client.

Location – Avon
Travel may be required.
