Sr. Flash Developer

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

RTP is looking for a senior level Actionscript/Flash developer to join our Web development team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality Flash applications as well as building and documenting a library of re-usable Actionscript/Flash assets.  In addition, the candidate will provide leadership to junior level developers by setting coding standards, conducting peer code reviews and mentoring.  This position will report to the Web Development Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver high quality Flash applications based on customer requirements.
• Architect and build a library of re-usable Flash assets that can be repurposed for multiple customers.
• Work with creative designers and .NET web developers to provide innovative web solutions.
• Oversee Flash development of contract resources by setting coding standards, conducting code reviews and mentoring.
• Stay up to date on latest technology trends concerning Flash, Flex, AIR, Silverlight and other RIA toolsets.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Combined 4+ years of industry experience developing in Actionscript (including AS2 and/or AS3).
• Ability to collaborate with creative designers and other developers on projects.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering projects to specification, within budget and on time.
• Ability to interact with implementation managers and customers to develop requirements.
• Ability to manage development priorities and assess trade-offs.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience writing Flash applications which consume data from external sources a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft .NET programming and an interest in other RIA toolsets a plus.
• Experience with source code control systems a plus.
• Ability to work alone and in a team based environment.
• Must have college degree or equivalent experience.
• Development experience in an enterprise software company leading a team of developers.

OTHER:

Location – Avon, CO or Denver, CO depending on candidate
Some travel to Avon, CO required and other travel possible as well.
