Web Designer 

SUMMARY

RTP specializes in software, web and integration services unique to the resort and recreation industries, in particular to the ski and parks/attraction market segments RTP is seeking an innovative, yet professional designer to join their growing Creative Department. The Web Designer will be responsible for designing web sites, presenting design concepts, producing assets and ensuring industry standards are followed.  The designer needs to be up to date with current industry trends and able to clearly and articulately present your design and vision to the customer.  They must also work closely with the team to ensure that the design meets budgetary and technical goals and limits of project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Designer will be responsible for designing web sites to include: preliminary design comps, page layouts, site content, graphics and navigation in accordance with the requirements documents for the given project.

• Website Design.
• Asset Production.
• Produce design comps, templates & style guidelines.
• Demonstrate depth of experience in copy/design integration, typography and interactive interface design and usability.
• Demonstrate strong Ski and P&A industry knowledge.

DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

At least 2 years experience in web design to include:

• Strong conceptual and creative skills.
• Innovative thinker.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Flash Design skills preferred.
• Expertise in current Internet standards, including web browsers and browser specifications, screen resolution, file size and download speeds.
• Ensure that all web sites are accessible from a variety of different platforms, screen depths and other constraints as defined by the requirements documentation.
• Working knowledge of SEO best practices.
• A demonstrated depth of experience in copy/design integration, typography and interactive interface design and usability.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers and co-workers.
• Understanding of dynamic and active web content and the use of classic HTML, XHTML, CSS and JavaScript, asp, .jsp and SQL.
• Extensive experience with web site design applications (Photoshop, Fireworks, Freehand, Illustrator, Flash) for use in creating graphics optimized for the web.

OTHER
Location – Avon, CO
Travel may be required up to 5%.
Position is expected to be 65 - 70% utilized
